Manchester Blue Crush
Manchester Blue Crush is a menthol capsule cigarette in the Manchester range. It has a smooth tobacco base and a single mint capsule in the filter. When the capsule is crushed, it releases a light, fresh mint flavour with a cooler finish.
What You Get With Manchester Blue Crush
The mint flavour comes from a small capsule inside the filter rather than the tobacco itself. Pressing the marked area of the filter breaks the capsule and releases the menthol flavour.
This gives Manchester Blue Crush two distinct flavour profiles: a more noticeable tobacco taste before activation and a cooler mint finish afterwards.
Manchester Blue Crush Menthol Profile
Manchester Blue Crush has a lighter menthol profile than Manchester Green Crush. Its mint flavour is gentle and refreshing, without the sharper, more intense cooling of Manchester Green Crush.
Milder menthol cooling profile with a crushable capsule.
How to Use the Capsule
It could not be easier. Smoke it as it is for a light cigarette with only a light mint flavour. When you want the cool hit, give the filter a firm pinch near the tip until you feel the little ball pop. Once you crush the capsule, the rest of the cigarette has a cooler, more noticeable menthol flavour.
Tastes like a standard light cigarette. Smooth tobacco, barely any mint at all.
A cool mint layer builds in over the next few draws. Same tobacco underneath, cleaner finish on the exhale.
First-time menthol buyers who want something easy to start with.
Smokers who like mint but find some menthols too strong or too icy.
Anyone who wants one cigarette that works both ways, plain or minty, depending on the mood.

Burn is pretty even and they don’t go out too quickly when you put one down for a minute. Ash is a light grey and stays reasonably firm. Flavour gets slightly flatter near the end but nothing terrible.

The capsule gives a clean mint flavour but it’s definitely on the lighter side. If you want a massive icy hit I’d go for something stronger. For an everyday menthol though, these are easy to smoke.

Nice light smoke. The menthol isn’t massive, but that’s actually what I like about it.

Bought these mainly because I wanted something lighter than the stronger Manchester options. The draw is easy, tobacco taste is clean and the capsule adds enough cooling without taking over completely. Been very consistent across the packs I’ve opened.

First thing I noticed was the packaging. Print was sharp, the wrapping was neat and all the sticks inside were straight with no crushed filters. Smokes just as tidy as it looks.
Marcus J –
Had a proper look at the tobacco after opening one up and it seemed evenly cut with very little dust or tiny loose bits. The cigarette burns steadily as well, without racing down one side. Pretty impressed for the price.
Joel –
Good draw, neat ash and no bitter finish. Does the job.

I’ve had cartons before where you get a lot of tobacco crumbs at the bottom of each pack, but these were surprisingly clean. Tobacco looked fresh and evenly packed. The ash holds together quite well too rather than dropping off every few seconds.

At 5mg tar and 0.6mg nicotine these feel fairly light to me, which matches the way they smoke. There’s enough tobacco flavour there before you crush the capsule, but don’t expect anything heavy.

I normally crush the capsule about halfway through. Starts off as a mild tobacco smoke, then you get that fresh menthol for the second half. Makes it a bit less boring than smoking menthol from the first puff.
Cameron –
Really smooth on the throat. No strong chemical mint taste either.

The filters and paper feel well finished and I haven’t had any badly packed sticks so far. What I like most is the smell after crushing the capsule – fresh rather than overly sweet. The aftertaste disappears fairly quickly too.

Quality seems fine but the menthol is a bit weak for me. I was expecting more of an ice hit. Probably better suited to someone who wants a mild crush cigarette.
Connor D –
Pretty decent overall. Packaging was clean, tobacco wasn’t dry and every cigarette I’ve smoked so far has burned evenly. I’d give it five stars if the menthol lasted a little longer.

Probably what I like most about Blue Crush is the balance. You still know you’re smoking a tobacco cigarette, then once the capsule is popped it becomes cooler and fresher. Not the strongest menthol around, but that’s exactly why I keep coming back to it.
